A one-day workshop: ‘Psychology in Construction’ (Psycon)

The workshop will use the lens of psychology to examine human factors, research and pedagogy (curriculum) in the built environment. The workshop will deliberate on questions such as:
- How does the built environment impact on the wellbeing of people?
- How are individual variabilities factored in built environment curriculum and practice?
- Can psychology influence the motivation, coping ability, leadership strength, innovation potential, etc. of built environment personnel?
- What are the impacts of user behaviour on the built environment?
- And many more questions that will be unfolding….?.
Academics and practitioners from the built environment and psychology will be discussing areas of mutual benefit and prospects for future research and curriculum development.
NB: There are a few ‘5-minutes’ slots for attendees to showcase their interests, teaching or research.
